“Cosy Cross”

On Wednesday 14th February we launched the “Cosy Cross“. This is a warm hub running every Wednesday 12.30 – 2.30pm at The Bromley Cross pub where you can have free soup, roll, tea, coffee and biscuits.

The warm hub in run by Annie Sands and her helpers. It has been funded by Tendring CVS and will run every Wednesday, until the end of March. It is proving very popular so Annie is endeavoring to apply for an additional grant so we can extend the “Cosy Cross” beyond the end of March. All are welcome.

Charity Race Night

Our annual Charity Race Night was held on Saturday 17th. It was a fantastic night and we raised £620 for St Helena Hospice Colchester. Congratulations to all the winning Race Owners who each received a bottle of bubbly and to the Group who won £90 on the Auction Race. A big thank you to all the volunteers in particular Paul, Bill and Jayne who made the night run smoothly 🐎🏇🐎🏇

It was a full house on Saturday 20th January at our Cash Bingo Night. Congratulations to all our winners, especially the lady who won £100 on the last house of the night 🥂🍺.

We will definitely schedule another Bingo Night for the Autumn.

King’s Coronation Coffee Morning

What a great morning we had celebrating the King’s Coronation. Coffee and cakes were flowing and the bar is now open all afternoon. Our Bromley Cross Crown was put to good use. God Save the King . A big thank you to Vanda, who raised £100 on the Tombola stall for the roof fund
